D.C. Day 2 - Tough Mudder

Day 2 was the day the men went off to do the Tough Mudder. I don't know if you have ever heard of this race before but it is super extreme. You can check out more about it here. Every course is different but a lot of them have some of the same obstacles. This was 9 miles on the Wintergreen Ski Resort in Virginia. They are constantly spraying you with fire hoses and before the 3rd mile was up one of the obstacles was swimming in a pool of ice water. NO THANK YOU! They ran up to the top of the mountain they said at least twice. It is crazy the things you had to do and the mountains you have to climb. Us women and kids did not go. You can't really watch anyways and it was a 3 hour drive. So we don't have any pictures of them doing it. They were super sore for the next few days though. :)

After the men got home Nick and I went out to explore some since the kids were in bed. We saw the Washington Monument, The White House, and the Lincoln memorial. Nick and I don't get to have a lot of date nights so that was a major treat for us.
