Beach to Bay

Noah building a castle

The Super Fat Cat

Don't tell Noah but the Shark tried to eat him.

This past weekend was the Beach to Bay relay marathon in Corpus Christi, which I along with 5 other people from my ward, participated in. I had to run 4.7 miles and honestly didn't think I could do it but was going to attempt. It turned out to be super fun. My competitive spirit came out in me and I ran the whole leg. It wasn't at a super fast pace but I did it. Our team was shooting for under 6 hours cause we have never ran together and most of us aren't runners. Our last leg kicked butt and we made it at a time of 4 hours 59 min and like 10 seconds or something. We blew our goal right out of the water! I loved it. Aly, who was our last leg, passed out cold right as she crossed the finish line. She has come to a full recovery now, but we were extremely worried about her then. I just want to say how awesome she and all of my team mates did. I am so proud!

After the race we all headed to the beach for a nice relaxing finish to the day. Noah was a little concerned about the sand at first and then was really concerned about waves and why they kept hitting him. He relaxed though and ended up loving it. Wave jumping was his favorite. Of course Nick helped the kids with a sand castle. I am so glad he came up to support me! Thanks love!! Sunday we went to Port Aransas and watched the dolphins while riding the farrey(spelling?). Then went to a shop with a majorly fat cat and another with a pet rattle snake. We had such a wonderful time! I can't wait for next years beach to bay!
