Noah turned 6 months old on Saturday. I can't believe it's been 6 months already! Once again time has flown by. He is such a joy in our lives. He is a great baby and loves to laugh a lot. He has the sweetest laugh that will melt your heart. We went to the doctor today for his check-up and he has been sick this past week and a half. I learned today that I am not such a great mother, well at least that's how I felt when I left. To start he only weighed 16 pounds and 8 ounces which is in the 37 % for weight. He has only gained a little more than a pound since he was 4 months old. Then she told me he has really dry skin, but it did just get cold. He was okay in height so he is still growing and in head circumference. For height he was 26.5 inches which is in the 52%. He has another ear infection probably due to the fact that he has been sick. The big hitter is that he has chronic wheezing. It's not asthma, thank goodness, but it is what he has had ever since he was born. He is going to have to do breathing treatments twice a day for at least 3 months and then at his 9 month check-up we will go from there. Everytime he gets sick, which is twice now, he can never get rid of his cough, so pray that he gets better this time.

Noah and his stare
On another note, Jodi, Nick's sister, gave me the idea of buying a big stuffed animal and every month or so mark his height measurements of the doll and you can see how big he grows compared to the animal. So, I found a large alligator at Ikea and thought it would be the perfect stuffed animal to use. I have had the animal for a few months now but just now took time to mark his measurements on it. I think it is going to be a great keepsake for Noah when he gets older. Thanks Jodi!

You are a great mother Stephani! He is really catching up with that alligator! great idea! Can't wait to see you guys again!
I LOVE that idea...too cute! You are a great mom! There is nothing wrong with Noah, so no reason to worry. That smile sure does melt your heart though!
You are a great mom! I can tell just from you blog :) As long as he is gaining weight that is all that really matters. My G only weighed 15 lbs 10 oz at her 9-month check up and was only in the 20% when she was 1 yr and she is fine! I hope he feels better soon! The aligator is a really cute idea!
